Without The Real, A Passing Dream

nirgun dayh saach bin kaachee mai poochha-o gur apnaa.
Without the Truth, this worthless body is false; I have consulted my Guru on this.
naanak so parabh parabhoo dikhaavai bin saachay jag supnaa. ||9||2||
O Nanak, that God has revealed God to me; without the Truth, all the world is just a dream. ||9||2||

In plain words

Without Truth, this body, empty of goodness, is false. I have asked my Guru about this.

Nanak says: the One has shown me the One. Without Truth, the whole world is only a dream.

Touch what's real, and everything else settles into its true, passing size.
The deeper layer

Without Truth at the center, a life is hollow, and the whole world passes like a dream.

Sach, Truth, is the center that gives a life its meaning. Nirgun dayh, a body without goodness, is a life without that center. So prabh prabhoo dikhaavai: the One shows the One, both the seeker and the found. The world as supnaa, a dream, is about how things pass, not about worthlessness.

A Question to Sit With

What in your life feels most real when everything busy quiets down?
