Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

I fly and soar and climb up into the sky

by Your strength, O my all-powerful Master.

In the water, on the land, in the mountains, on the riverbanks, I see the One —

in every place, and in every space between, O brother.

Wherever you go, the One is already there.
The deeper layer

Every height you reach comes from the One's strength, and the One is in every place you look.

Oodaan ood charhaan asmaan: I fly and climb to the sky, but saahib sammrith tayrai taan, by Your power, all-powerful Master. Jal thal doongar teer: water, land, mountains, riverbanks. Thaan thanantar saahib: the Master in every place and every space between.

A Question to Sit With

Where is a place in nature where you have felt something much bigger than yourself?
