In plain words

My mind has fallen in love with the Naam of the One. I keep the great One close in my thoughts.

The True Guru's words have become sweet to my heart. The One has poured grace over me.

When the heart falls in love with the Name, grace comes with it.
The deeper layer

A mind that falls in love with the Naam finds grace arriving right along with it.

man laagee pareet raam naam — my mind is in love with the Naam. japi-o har parabh vadfaa — I keep the great One in mind.

satgur bachan sukhaanay hee-arai — the true Guru's words feel sweet in my heart. har Dhaaree har parabh kirpfaa — and the One has poured out kirpaa, grace.

Love comes first here, and grace comes right along with it. Think of two best friends. Each one brings out the best in the other. Love and grace arrive together in the same way, each drawing out the other.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you love so much that thinking about it makes you happy?
