In plain words

O Lord, only You know Your own goodness. I have grown tired, and I come to Your shelter.

Keep me as You know best, my Master. Nanak says: I am Your servant, all Yours.

There is peace in setting down the striving and simply trusting.
The deeper layer

When you are tired of striving, there is peace in resting in the One's shelter.

This shabad closes a chhakaa, a set of six shabads. tumray gun tum hee parabh jaanhu — O Lord, only You know how good You are. ham paray haar tum sarnabhaa — I have grown tired of striving, and I come to Your shelter. It is the peace of putting down a heavy bag.

ji-o jaanhu ti-o raakho su-aamee — keep me however You know is best, my Master. jan naanak daas tumnabhaa — servant Nanak is Yours.

Think of a tired child who stops trying to carry everything and lets a parent take the load. That same deep trust runs through the whole raag.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you could stop striving so hard for, and simply trust?
