What You Cannot Carry Away

One's body and social status do not go along to that place, where all are called to account.
saach ratay say ubray dukhee-ay doojai bhaa-ay. ||6||
Those who are attuned to Truth are saved; those in the love of duality are miserable. ||6||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

In that place where each of us is asked to give an account of our life, the body does not come along, and neither does the group we were born into.

Those dyed in Truth are carried safely through. Those caught in the love of other things are miserable.

Body and rank stay behind; a life dyed in Truth comes through.
The deeper layer

When life ends, the body and every rank stay behind, and a life dyed in Truth carries you through.

Laykhaa: the account of a life. Dayh jaat: the body and the social group a person is born into. Neither goes along. Saach ratay: dyed in Truth. Those who live close to Truth come through; the love of other things leaves a person aching.

A Question to Sit With

If everything on the outside fell away, what would still be yours?
