I Would Give Anything for This Company

I am a sacrifice to those who meet with the True Guru.

I shall continue to associate with them; devoted to Truth, I am absorbed in Truth. ||6||

In plain words

I give my whole self to those who have met the True Guru.

I will stay with them as my companions. Loving the Truth, I melt into the Truth.

Stay near the people who are awake; it rubs off.
The deeper layer

Staying near people who have met the True Guru rubs off on you, and you blend into the Truth.

Jin ka-o satgur bhayti-aa means "those who have met the True Guru." Tinaa vitahu bal jaa-o means "I give my whole self for them." That is the language of love. Sangat here means their company, the companions you keep close.

Tin kee sangat mil rahaa means "I will stay in their company." Why? Sachay sach samaa-o means "loving the Truth, I blend into the Truth."

Think of a friend who is a great reader. Hang around them long enough, and you start carrying a book too. Being near people rooted in truth works the same way. It rubs off.

A Question to Sit With

Who are the people whose company makes you a better version of yourself?
