My disharmony with Him of so many lifetimes is ended. ||5||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Joy, peace and freedom are found in that place

where the servants of the Lord of the World live.

The One, the Lord of the World, is glad and pleased with me.

The out-of-tune feeling of so many lifetimes is gone.

Where the helpers gather, joy and peace gather too.
The deeper layer

Joy gathers where people serve the One.

Mangal sookh kali-aan tithaa-eeN means joy, peace and freedom are found in that place. Which place? Jah sayvak gopaal gusaa-ee: where the helpers of the Lord of the world live. Think of a kitchen where everyone is cooking together for others. It just feels warm.

Parabh suparsan bha-ay means the One is glad and pleased.

Then, janam janam kay mitay bitaal. A bitaal is being out of tune. Being far from the One felt like that for a long, long time. Now it is over. It is like a guitar string finally tuned, so the song sounds right again.

A Question to Sit With

Where do you feel joy and peace gather when good people come together?
