Says Kabir, listen, O men and women: seek the Sanctuary of the One.

kayval naam japahu ray paraanee tab hee nihchai tarnaa. ||6||2||
Chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord, O mortals, and you shall surely be carried across. ||6||2||

In plain words

Kabir says: listen, all you women and men, take shelter in the One.

Chant the Naam, O people, and you will surely be carried across.

Everyone is invited into the One, and holding it close carries you safely across.
The deeper layer

Everyone is invited into the shelter of the One, and the Naam carries you across.

The closing call, sunhu nar narvai — listen, men and women — leaves no one out, and the shelter of the One is open to all who come. Kayval naam japahu: keep the Naam, and you are carried across. The crossing (tarnaa) is the oldest picture of moving from fear to safety, like a boat carrying you over deep water to the far shore. The Naam here is the practice of holding the One steadily in mind.

A Question to Sit With

Who would you want to make sure was not left out of something good?
