Receiving the Blessed Vision of His Darshan, all sins are erased, and He unites me with the Lord. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

There is only One. And the One is found by the True Guru's grace — a gift that is always here, waiting for an open heart.

When I meet the Guru face to face, every wrong I carried is wiped away.

And the Guru joins me with the One.

Meet the Guru, and the old weight of wrongs falls away.
The deeper layer

Darshan is the blessed sight of the Guru, a meeting that changes the one who sees. In that meeting, paap (the old weight of wrongs) drops off, and the seeker is milaa-ee, joined with the One. The Ik Onkar line and the Guru's blessing open the whole Ashtapadee, and everything that follows flows from this first meeting.

A Question to Sit With

When have you seen something so clearly that everything else suddenly felt lighter?
