ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਤੇ ਕਾਢਿਓ ਸਾਚ ਸਬਦਿ ਬਣਿ ਆਈ ॥੬॥
anDh koop bikhi-aa tay kaadhi-o saach sabad ban aa-ee. ||6||
He has lifted me up, and pulled me out of the deep, dark pit of sin; I am attuned to the True Shabad. ||6||

I was down in a deep, dark pit of wrongdoing, tangled in things that were bad for me.
The One lifted me up and pulled me out.
And now my heart is tuned to the True Word.
Lifted out of the dark pit, the heart is tuned to the True Word.
Andh koop bikhi-aa is the deep dark well of bikhi-aa, the things that poison a life. Kaadhi-o: pulled up and out, a rescue. Saach sabad ban aa-ee: settling naturally into the True Word, as if it were home all along.
