The Jewel Beyond Any Price

Searching and searching, I have found the One Lord, the jewel; I cannot express His value, O Saints. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Searching and searching, I finally found the one jewel — the One.

And its worth is so great that I cannot put it into words, O saints.

The most precious thing is the one no price can measure.
The deeper layer

Khojat khojat — searching and searching; the long looking is honored, not skipped. Laal is a precious jewel or ruby, a favorite Gurbani image for the One. Keemat kahan na jaa-ee: its value cannot be spoken, because it is not the kind of thing a price can measure.

A Question to Sit With

What is something valuable to you that money could never buy?
