Verse 5 of 10

Resting My Attention There

ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗੋ ਧਿਆਨਾ ਸਾਚੈ ਦਰਸਿ ਸਮਾਈ ਸੰਤਹੁ ॥੩॥
charan kamal si-o laago Dhi-aanaa saachai daras samaa-ee santahu. ||3||
I focus my meditation on His Lotus Feet; I am absorbed in the True Vision of His Darshan, O Saints. ||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

I fix my meditation on the One's lotus feet, the One's loving presence.

And I melt into the true sight of the One, O saints.

Attention that settles somewhere true begins to melt into it.
The deeper layer

Charan kamal si-o laago dhi-aanaa — meditation fastened to the lotus feet, the felt presence of the divine. Saachai daras samaa-ee: absorbed into the true darshan, the blessed sight. The attention does not just visit; it settles and then dissolves into what it beholds.

A Question to Sit With

Where does your attention go when it finally gets to rest?
