He Lifts Every Fear

He is the Eradicator of sins, the Destroyer of fear, the Ocean of peace, the Sovereign Lord King.

Merciful to the meek, the Destroyer of pain: O Nanak, always meditate on Him. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The One takes away wrongs, takes away fear, and is an ocean of peace, the King of all.

Nanak says: the One is kind to the humble and takes away pain — always remember the One.

The same One who lifts your fear is worth keeping in mind every day.
The deeper layer

The One's qualities, one after another: kilvikh kaatan (clearing old faults), bhai haran (lifting fear), sukh saagar (ocean of peace). Deen da-i-aal — kind to the humble and gentle; the tenderness that runs through the whole Ruti.

A Question to Sit With

What is a fear that feels smaller when you do not face it alone?
