In plain words

The One's feet are higher than all; they wipe away every suffering.

They take away the pain of coming and going, and bring loving devotion to the One.

Colored with the One's love, full of quiet, natural peace, one does not forget the One even for a moment.

Letting go of my puffed-up self, I have come to the shelter of the One's feet; all goodness lives in the Lord of the world.

I bow to the Lord of the world, the treasure of goodness, the first Master of all.

Nanak prays: show me Your kindness, my One; age after age, You stay the same.

The seasons turn, but the One stays the same, age after age.
The deeper layer

Suffering erased, the soul at rest in sahaj (natural ease). Taj aap — shedding the self-conceit (haumai), the same doorway named at the start. Jug jugo ik vays — "age after age, one form": the One is constant through all the turning seasons and ages, the still center around which the whole year-cycle has moved. A serene, settled ending.

A Question to Sit With

What is something steady in your life that stays the same through every change?
