In plain words

Spring is lovely; the months of Chayt and Vaisakh are the sweetest of all.

I have found the dear One as my Husband, and my mind, body and breath have blossomed.

The One who never changes has come home as my Husband, my friends; thinking on the One's lotus feet, I blossom in joy.

The Lord of the world is beautiful, skilled, wise and all-knowing.

The One's goodness is priceless. By great good fortune I have found the One; my pain is gone and my hopes are fulfilled.

Nanak prays: I have come to Your shelter, my One, and my fear of death is gone.

When love comes home, everything inside you can blossom like spring.
The deeper layer

Basant — spring, the season of blossoming, matched to the soul-bride finding her Beloved "at home" (ghar naahu). Everything turns green and flowers (ma-oli-aa, parfuli-aa): the outer season mirrors the inner one. Nihchal — the Beloved is unchanging even as the seasons turn. In the One's shelter, the fear of death melts into relief and safety.

A Question to Sit With

What makes you feel like you are blooming rather than just getting by?
