one who has good fortune and great destiny inscribed upon his forehead, digs them out, by following the Guru's Teachings. ||2||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
The Great Giver is like a vast ocean, packed full of diamonds, emeralds, rubies and pearls.
Whoever has great good fortune written on their forehead follows the Guru's teaching and digs them out, again and again.
The treasure is already there — the teaching shows you how to reach it.
The jewels are the Name and the inner riches it carries. The treasure is already there, filling the ocean, waiting to be uncovered; no one has to make it. Grace is like that, always present. What the Guru's teaching (gurmat) gives is the knowing of how to reach the jewels.
A Question to Sit With
What treasure might already be inside you, waiting to be uncovered?
