If someone has supremely high destiny written on his forehead, the Lord leads him to meet the humble servants of the Lord.

Be merciful, and grant me the Blessed Vision of the Saints' Darshan, which shall rid me of all poverty and pain. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

If great good fortune is written on someone's forehead, the One leads them to meet the One's humble servants.

Be kind to me, and let me see the saints. Being near them takes away all my poverty and pain.

Being near people who love the good can lift a load you have carried alone.
The deeper layer

Darsan is the blessing of being in the presence of good people; daalad is destitution and dukh is pain, both said to lift in such company. The prayer is for company, not for things — the asking is to be led toward the good, and to receive it “kar kirpaa,” by kindness.

A Question to Sit With

Who is someone whose example you would like to be closer to?
