Attachment, sorrow, disease and public opinion do not affect me, and so, I enjoy the subtle essence of the Lord, Har, Har, Har. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

This is how I have joined my mind to the One.

Clinging, sadness, sickness and what people think do not grab hold of me, and so I enjoy the sweet taste of the One, Har, Har, Har.

A yoga of the heart is a mind joined to the One — free from needing everyone's approval.
The deeper layer

A mind joined to the One is a yoga of the heart.

This is the rahaa-o, the pause line. It takes the word yoga inward: man jognee, union as the mind joined to the One. Log, public opinion, is among the things that no longer bind. What remains is har ras, the sweet essence.

A Question to Sit With

How much do you let "what will people think?" run your choices?
