I am pure in the heavenly realm, pure on this earth, and pure in the nether regions of the underworld. I remain apart from the people of the world.

Obedient to the Lord, I enjoy peace forever; wherever I look, I see the Lord of glorious virtues. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

I am pure in the heavens, pure on this earth, pure in the worlds below, and I stay apart from the crowd.

Living in step with the One, I am at peace forever, and everywhere I turn my eyes I see the One who is full of every goodness.

Everywhere you look, the One is looking back.
The deeper layer

Pavitraa — purity across every realm — follows from aagi-aakaaree, living in step with the flow of existence. Jat kat pekha-o har gunee: wherever the gaze falls, the One full of virtues is seen.

A Question to Sit With

Have you ever felt clean and clear inside for no outward reason?
