The Merciful Audience, the Lord, sees all your make-up and decorations. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

This is the dance of the One.

The kind Watcher, the One, sees all your costumes and make-up.

You're always seen by an Audience made of kindness.
The deeper layer

Life is a dance, and the One watching it is kind.

This is the rahaa-o, the pause line. Raam ko nirtikaaree — this is the Lord's own dance. Pekhanhaar da-i-aalaa — the Watcher is merciful. Life is lived as a performance witnessed not by a judge but by love.

A Question to Sit With

Does it feel different to imagine you're seen by kindness rather than judged?
