ਆਖਾਰ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਧਰਣਿ ਸਬਾਈ ਊਪਰਿ ਗਗਨੁ ਚੰਦੋਆ ॥

All of us are dancers on one enormous stage.
Aakhaar mandlee Dharan sabaa-ee — the earth is the arena, the sky its canopy. From the panch tat, the five elements, the body-puppet is made, and kirat, our deeds, set it moving. The cosmos itself is the theatre.
