Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The saints kept my faults covered.

By the saints' grace, nothing torments me anymore.

The kind One gave me the Sangat of the saints.

The caring saints became my help and support.

True friends cover your faults instead of exposing them.
The deeper layer

The saints cover our faults instead of showing them off.

Sant hamaaraa raakhi-aa parh-daa: the saints kept a curtain over my faults. Good friends protect you. They do not show your mistakes to everyone.

Mohi kabhoo na karh-daa — now nothing torments me anymore. The healing happened quietly and kindly. The One gave the gift of their company, and they became steady helpers.

Think of a friend who notices juice spilled on your shirt right before the class photo. They quietly lend you their jacket.

A Question to Sit With

Has someone ever protected you when you made a mistake, instead of shaming you?
