O Nanak, the Lord is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts. ||4||13||24||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Keeper of all, please keep me safe Yourself.

Every peace and comfort rests in Your hands.

Wherever You attach me, there I hold on, my Master.

Nanak says: the Master knows every heart from the inside.

The One who made you knows you from the inside.
The deeper layer

Raakhanhaaray raakho aap — the Protector asked to protect. Jit laaveh tit laagah: wherever You attach me, there I attach — trust in the antarjaamee (inner-knower) who sees the heart. It is surrender as relief, not defeat.

A Question to Sit With

Who knows you well enough that you don't have to explain yourself?
