parabh kee aagi-aa man meh maanee mahaa purakh kaa sang bha-i-aa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
I have accepted the Will of God in my mind, associating with the Great Person, the Guru. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The pain is gone, and all the sickness is gone.

In my heart I have accepted the One's will, the flow of life, keeping company with the Great One, the Guru.

Making peace with the flow of things loosens pain's grip.
The deeper layer

Relief comes from accepting the flow of existence (Hukam) inwardly: prabh kee aagi-aa man meh maanee. This is Mannai: not passive belief but a living alignment with how things are.

This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the centre of the shabad.

A Question to Sit With

When has accepting a situation, instead of fighting it, made you feel lighter?
