charan kamal si-o laagee pareet.
I have enshrined love for the Lord's lotus feet.
gur pooray kee nirmal reet.
The lifestyle of the Perfect Guru is immaculate and pure.
bha-o bhaagaa nirbha-o man basai.
My fear has run away, and the fearless Lord dwells within my mind.
amrit naam rasnaa nit japai. ||3||
My tongue continually chants the Ambrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||3||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
I have come to love the lotus feet of the One.
The way of the perfect Guru is clean and pure.
My fear has run off, and the One who knows no fear lives in my mind.
My tongue keeps singing the Naam, sweet as nectar, every day.
When the Fearless One lives in your heart, fear loses its place there.
Bha-o bhaagaa nirbha-o man basai — fear flees and the fearless One moves in. It echoes the Mool Mantar’s nirbhau: when the Fearless One lives within, fear has no footing. Amrit naam — the Name is amrit, the nectar of everlasting life, sung every day on the tongue.
