Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Whoever the One blesses with mercy

finds the One's wealth in the Sangat.

Nanak prays to the merciful One:

You are what I trade in, and You are all my savings.

The Sangat is where the deepest wealth is found.
The deeper layer

Saadhsang — the Sangat, people gathered together to remember the One, where this wealth is found. The closing line uses the language of a merchant: har mayree vartan har mayree raas — the One is my goods and my capital. For a trading community, this reframes the whole ledger of life: the only asset worth counting is the One.

A Question to Sit With

Who are the good people whose company makes you richer inside?
