Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Stay awake and alert with your Guru.
Then your hopes and longings are fulfilled, and you receive every treasure from the Guru.
Wide-awake attention to the Guru opens doors you didn't know were there.
Being present with the Guru, not drifting, is itself the doorway to sagal nidhaan, all the treasures.
This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the centre of the shabad. Hohu saavdhaan apunay gur si-o — be watchful with your Guru: awake, present, paying attention.
