Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The One is the Great Giver, always giving.

There is no end or edge to it.

Every treasure there is rests in its home.

And in the end, it is the One who saves you.

The One keeps giving, and holds every treasure in its home.
The deeper layer

Dayvanhaar daataar — the ceaseless Giver, echoing the Japji theme that the Giver keeps giving. Jaa kai ghar sarab nidhaan: all treasures in the One’s home. Raakhanhaar nidaan: the Saving One at the last.

A Question to Sit With

Who is the most generous person you know, and how do they give?
