The Doer Behind Everything

You shall be blessed with truth, intuition and peace, O my friend. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The One is the doer, the cause behind every cause.

So keep it always in mind.

Serve it, steadily, day by day.

And you will find truth, natural ease, and peace, my friend.

Behind everything that happens is one quiet cause worth turning toward.
The deeper layer

Karan karaavan aap — the One both acts and causes action, the source behind all doing. Tis kee sayvaa kar neet: steady daily service. The reward is sach sahj sukh — truth, poise, peace — the trio that marks a settled soul.

A Question to Sit With

When you trace a good thing back to its cause, where does it lead?
