Your affairs shall be perfectly resolved; sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, Har, Har, Har, O my mind. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

My mind, remember the one Naam alone.

Then your work comes out whole and complete; sing the praises of the One, *Har, Har, Har*, my mind.

A gathered mind, held on the one Naam, brings your work to completion.
The deeper layer

A gathered heart steadies not just the spirit but the practical work of living. A scattered mind fumbles; a gathered one finishes.

This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the centre of the shabad. Eko naam dhi-aa-ay — remember the one Naam. Kaaraj tayraa hovai pooraa: your affairs become whole.

A Question to Sit With

What goes better for you when your mind is gathered rather than scattered?
