Hunger and thirst are totally quenched;
ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਜਪਿਆ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ॥

by the Grace of the Saints, meditate on the immortal Lord.
ਰੈਨਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੇਵ ਕਮਾਨੀ ॥

Night and day, serve God.

This is the sign that one has met with the Lord. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Hunger and endless wanting are stilled at last.

By the kindness of the saints, I hold the deathless One in mind.

Night and day, I serve the One.

This is the sign that I have met the One.

The sign of meeting the One is a calmer heart and a life of service.
The deeper layer

The restless craving goes quiet: trisnaa bhookh sabh naasee. Har milnai kee eh neesaanee: the sign (neesaan) of having met the One is a life of steady, loving service, day and night.

Sant parsaad means by the grace of the saints, the holy people whose kindness helps us remember.

A Question to Sit With

How can you tell when someone has deep inner peace?
