ਅਕਿਰਤਘਣਾ ਕਾ ਕਰੇ ਉਧਾਰੁ ॥
akirat-ghanaa kaa karay uDhaar.
He saves even the ungrateful;
ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੈ ਸਦਾ ਦਇਆਰੁ ॥
parabh mayraa hai sadaa da-i-aar.
my God is forever merciful.
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕਾ ਸਦਾ ਸਹਾਈ ॥
sant janaa kaa sadaa sahaa-ee.
He is forever the helper and support of the humble Saints.
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥੪॥੩੯॥੫੦॥
charan kamal naanak sarnaa-ee. ||4||39||50||
Nanak has found the Sanctuary of His lotus feet. ||4||39||50||

The One lifts up even those who forgot to say thank you.
My One is always, always kind.
The One is always the helper and steady support of the saints.
Nanak says: I have found my safe place at the One's lotus feet.
Kindness like the One's lifts up even those who forgot to be grateful.
The One rescues even the ungrateful: akiratghanaa kaa karay udhaar. This is the widest possible mercy; it does not wait for thanks. Sarnaaee is sanctuary, the safe place to rest.
