Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

When the Supreme One is kind,

this mind becomes the dust of the feet of the holy.

With lotus hands, the One fastens you to the hem of its robe and keeps you close.

Nanak says: I merge into the Truest of the True.

When you let yourself be led, you settle into what is true.
The deeper layer

The One fastens you to the hem of the robe with lotus hands: hasat kamal larh leeno laa-ay, an image of being kept close and safe. The mind that thought it owned everything becomes saadh ravaal, humble as dust, and finds rest in saach, what is true.

A Question to Sit With

When has letting someone guide you turned out better than doing it all yourself?
