Twenty-four hours a day, chant God's Chant.

naanak raakhaa ho-aa aap. ||4||2||58||
O Nanak, He Himself shall save you. ||4||2||58||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

All day and all night, chant the One's chant.

Nanak says: the One will keep you safe.

Keep what matters close, and let yourself feel held.
The deeper layer

Remember the One through the whole day, and the One becomes your keeper: raakhaa ho-aa aap.

Aath pahar prabh kaa jap jaap means remembrance through all eight watches of the day. The close is not a warning but an assurance of safety.

A Question to Sit With

What makes you feel safe and looked after?
