Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The Naam of the One is deep and calm, strong and steady, high, exalted and without end.

The One sets the whole play of the world in motion, with goodness beyond any price.

Nanak says: to the One I gladly give my heart.

Some things are so deep and vast that all you can do is give your heart to them.
The deeper layer

Deep, steady, lofty, limitless: gambheer, dheer, ooch, apaar. The qualities stack up like drumbeats, and karan kayl, the One stages the whole play of the world.

Balihaaran means "I am a glad offering." In a Partaal, the rhythm itself is part of the praise.

A Question to Sit With

What is something so amazing that it leaves you a little speechless?
