Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Know that whoever sings the goodness of the One is very lucky.

The wrongs of many, many lifetimes are washed away, and they go on to the heavenly home.

*A heart that sings the One's goodness is a fortunate heart.*
The deeper layer

Singing the goodness of the One is good fortune: badbhaagee, very lucky. The load carried from life after life, janam janam kay paap, washes away, and the singer reaches baikunth, the heavenly realm.

Baikunth is an old word for heaven. Gurbani often uses it to mean the peace of being close to the One.

A Question to Sit With

When has singing or praising something you love made your own load feel lighter?
