Pour Your Love Into My Cup

ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਿ ਪੋਤਾ ਕਰਮੁ ਪਸਾਉ ॥

The treasure I seek is the gift of Your Grace.

Please bless this humble beggar - this is what I seek.

In plain words

The treasure I seek is the gift of Your grace. Please bless me, Your humble beggar; this is what I long for.

Please pour Your love into the cup of my heart. You set this worth from the very beginning.

The treasure worth wanting is love poured into the heart.
The deeper layer

The treasure worth asking for is the One's grace, the free gift of love.

Karam means grace, kindness that is given freely. The seeker asks for it simply and openly, like a child. Bhaadai bhaa-o pavai — love is poured into the cup. Here the heart is the cup, waiting to be filled.

Think of holding out an empty glass while someone pours fresh water. You didn't earn the water. You just held out the glass. This gift comes Dhur, from the very Source. It is given freely, not earned.

A Question to Sit With

If your heart were a cup, what would you most want it filled with?
