Nanak is forever a sacrifice to those who enshrine love for the One Word of the Shabad. ||4||9||

In plain words

The divine Light shines inside my mind, and my mind rests inside that Light. The Guru gathers my five senses together like brothers.

Nanak says: I give my whole heart, always, to those who fix their love on the One Word of the Shabad.

The Light is in your mind, and your mind rests in the Light.
The deeper layer

The whole idea comes home, right into our own minds.

Man meh jot jot meh manoo-aa — the Light is in the mind, and the mind is in the Light. Jot means the divine Light. Like the drop and the ocean, the mind and the Light hold each other.

Panch milay gur bhaa-ee — the Guru brings the panch, the five senses, together like brothers. Our senses can pull us in five directions at once: a snack, a screen, a noise, a smell. With the Guru, they stop fighting and work as one team.

Naanak tin kai sad balihaaree — Nanak says he gives his whole heart, always, to those who ayk sabad liv laa-ee: who fix their love on the One Word.

A Question to Sit With

When your senses all pull different ways, what brings them back together?
