The Treasure That Never Runs Out

ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਪਾਇਆ ਅਖੁਟ ਸਚੇ ਭੰਡਾਰੀ ॥੧੧॥
naam padaarath gur tay paa-i-aa akhut sachay bhandaaree. ||11||
The treasure of the Naam is obtained from the Guru; the treasures of the True Lord are inexhaustible. ||11||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

I received the treasure of the Naam from the Guru.

The storehouses of the True One never run out — no matter how much is taken, they are never one bit emptier.

The best treasure is the one that never runs out no matter how much you take.
The deeper layer

Naam padaarath gur tay paa-i-aa; akhut sachay bhandaaree — the wealth of the Name is akhut, inexhaustible. Unlike every earthly treasure that shrinks when spent, this one only grows in the giving. The Guru is the door to a storehouse that never runs low.

A Question to Sit With

What is something that grows rather than shrinks the more you share it?
