Verse 13 of 31

Strength Poured In

apni-aa bhagtaa no aapay tuthaa apnee kirpaa kar kal Dhaaree. ||12||
He Himself is pleased with His devotees; by His Grace, He infuses His strength within them. ||12||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The One Itself is pleased with those who love the One, the way a parent's face lights up.

In kindness, the One pours strength into them.

Being loved pours in a strength you never had to earn.
The deeper layer

Apni-aa bhagtaa no aapay tuthaa — He Himself is pleased with His devotees, and kal dhaaree: infuses strength into them. Tuthaa is the warm pleasure of one who delights in you. The strength is not a wage for good work; it flows from being loved.

A Question to Sit With

When has feeling cared for made you stronger?
