ਆਪੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਆਪੇ ਭੁਗਤਾ ਦੇਦਾ ਰਿਜਕੁ ਸਬਾਈ ॥੨॥
aapay kartaa aapay bhugtaa daydaa rijak sabaa-ee. ||2||
He Himself is the Creator, and He Himself is the Enjoyer. He Himself gives sustenance to all. ||2||

The One made everything, and the One delights in everything that was made.
And the One feeds every single creature, without leaving anyone out.
The One who made everything is the same One who feeds everything.
Aapay kartaa aapay bhugtaa — the maker and the one who enjoys are the same; the aapay (He Himself) refrain that runs through this hymn. Rijak sabaaee — sustenance to all, no exception.
