Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The feet of the Guru have made their home in my mind.

The Master fills every place. The One lives close by, near to everyone.

What you are looking for is nearer than you think.
The deeper layer

With the Guru in the mind, the One turns out to be near.

Gur kay charan basay man mayrai — the Guru's feet, the teaching and presence, settle in my mind. From that settling comes the knowing that the One is poor rahi-o sabh thaa-ee, filling all places, and nikat basai sabh nayrai, living near, close to all. The One is ever-present, closer than breath.

A Question to Sit With

Where do you usually look for something you have been missing that was close all along?
