O Nanak, my God is the Treasure of Peace; He is the wealth and property of the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||2||69||92||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Keep me safe, You who are kind to me always — I am Yours.
Nanak says: my One is the treasure of peace, the wealth and riches of the Sangat.
The truest wealth is peace, and it is found in the Sangat.
The closing rests in trust: raakh layho, keep me safe, addressed to the sadaa kirpaal, the ever-kind One. sukh nidhaan, the treasure of peace, lives in the saadhsang, and there the dhan maal, the wealth and riches, is the One held among friends. Safety here is belonging.
The saadhsang is the Sangat — people gathered together to remember the One. What they hold in common is a treasure no one has to guard.
