Look in any direction — up, down, near, far — and the One is there like an endless ocean. There is not a single empty spot anywhere, no place the One has left out.
And the same One, an ocean of kindness, is what gives every living thing its life. The breath in you right now is a gift handed to you from that ocean.
chaar kunt, dah dis means the four quarters and the ten directions — a way of saying absolutely everywhere. jal nidh is the treasure-ocean, and oon thaa-o na kayhu means no place is empty of the One. jee-a daan is the gift of life itself, given freely to all beings. Your own aliveness is on loan from the ocean that fills everything.
If the One is in every direction, is there anywhere you could go to be alone — or are you always accompanied?
