jaantay da-i-aar. ||1|| rahaa-o.

In plain words

Something has happened inside me that I can hardly put into words for anyone.

But the One, who is full of kindness, knows exactly what it is.

Some things inside you cannot be explained, only known — and you are known.
The deeper layer

Some feelings are too deep to explain, but the Kind One knows them completely.

This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the center of the shabad.

Aisee ho-ay paree means "this is what has happened to me." Some changes inside us are too quiet and deep to explain to anyone else. But the da-i-aar, the Merciful One, knows them all.

Think of a time you felt something big and couldn't find the words. Then someone who loves you just looked at you and understood. Being fully known, even without words, is enough.

A Question to Sit With

Is there a feeling inside you that is hard to explain but real all the same?
