suDh ras naam mahaa ras meethaa nij ghar tat gusaaN-eeN.
The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is sublimely sweet and supremely delicious; within the home of my own self, I understand the essence of the Lord.

Wherever You keep my mind, there it is. This is what the Guru has taught me. ||7||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
The Naam is the purest, sweetest taste of all, and right here inside myself I understand what matters most.
Wherever You keep my mind, that is where it stays, content. This is the wisdom the Guru has given me.
Peace is trusting the place you are put.
The Naam is the purest, sweetest taste (sudh ras naam mahaa ras meethaa). tat is the essence, understood nij ghar, within one's own being. The closing surrender — wherever You keep my mind, there it is — is trust in Hukam, the flow of existence: not being dragged, but resting content wherever life places you.
A Question to Sit With
Can you think of a time you stopped fighting where you were, and felt calmer?
