When the One draws us into itself, we find ourselves speaking of what words can barely hold — and the Word we speak is true, all the way down.
Nanak says: the true are absorbed in the Truth, and the Name of the One is always on their lips.
The One draws us in, and the true become part of the Truth.
Aapay mayl la-ay means "the One unites us." Union is the One's own doing. It is grace received, not something we earn.
Akath kathee-ai means speaking what can't be spoken. Sach sabad sach banee means the Word is true and the teaching is true, real and lasting.
The last line gathers the whole song. Saachay sach samaanay: the true are absorbed into the Truth. Think of a drop of rain falling into the sea. It doesn't vanish; it becomes part of something huge. And the Name of the One flows from them naturally.
