In plain words

In pure kindness, the One came all the way to me — came home to its own. Lucky, so lucky, is the heart where its presence settles in.

When that presence takes root — in the Sangat — the darkness of not-knowing simply lifts. A light comes on inside, the heart overflows, and the One I was longing for all along is finally here.

The ache is gone. Peace has moved into the house of my heart, and a deep, easy happiness settles over everything. Nanak says: I have found the One who makes me whole — the One who, in pure kindness, came home to me.

When the One comes home to your heart, the ache leaves and peace moves in.
The deeper layer

kar kirpaa — in kindness the One comes to its own. Blessed is the ridaa, the heart, where the Feet dwell; in sant sangaa-i-aa, the Sangat, the darkness of agi-aan lifts. pargaas and ulaas are light and overflow; dukh naathaa, pain flees; sukh ghar meh voothaa, peace moves into the house of the heart; mahaa anand sehjaa-i-aa, a great bliss settled in sahaj, natural ease. The seeker is home.

A Question to Sit With

What does it feel like when a worry finally lifts and calm settles in its place?
