In plain words

When you listen to the Naam, remarkable strengths gather around you, and what you need follows along on its own. Every kind of treasure comes near, and the heart's deepest wishes are met.

Deep listening brings contentment, and even the pull of the shiny, grabby world quietly bows and settles at your feet. A natural ease wells up from inside, and with it a calm, steady happiness. Through the Guru's teaching you find the Naam. Nanak says: sing the praises of the One.

When you listen to the Naam, what you need tends to arrive on its own.
The deeper layer

Pauri 7, Suniai sequence. Spiritual powers and wealth (sidh, ridh, na-o nidh) come as blessings that follow the listener, never as goals to chase. Maya (kavlaa) settling at one's feet means the world's pull loses its grip. Natural ease (sahaj) wells up. Through the Guru's teaching (gurmatee) the Name is found.

A Question to Sit With

Have you noticed that chasing something hard often pushes it away, while ease invites it closer?
