My Beloved Himself preserves the honor of those who have come to the Guru's Door seeking Sanctuary.

O Nanak, the Gurmukhs are filled with joy; their faces are radiant in the Court of the Lord. ||2||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
In plain words
There is a joy that fills you completely when you finally feel close to the One you love most — and it spreads, so that everyone around who cares about you feels glad too.
Once the One has joined you, nothing can pull you apart again. You find the Guru, the Word fills you inside, and every sorrow lifts. People might whisper or try to bring you down, but that goodness inside you is protected. Nanak says: those turned to the Guru live in joy, and their faces shine wherever they go.
When you are rooted in what is real, other people's whispers cannot shake you.
The deeper layer
Shalok, Third Mehl. man anad bhaiaa — the mind in ecstasy on meeting the Beloved; friends and saints share the joy (sarsay sajan sant). Those the One unites are never separated again. The manmukh's gossip (bakheelee) cannot touch those the Shabad has embellished; the Beloved preserves their honor (pat rakhsee), and their faces are radiant (mukh oojal).
A Question to Sit With
Where do you feel a joy so full that it makes the people around you happy too?
